Idea by Clive Pollard |
The question is : Q19 - Player hits opponent with the racket during the swing. |
|||
Your decision was |
Stroke to player |
This is correct - well done !! |
||
Reason |
Hitting the opponent with the player's racket during a swing will normally be a stroke to player. - see Rule 12. Marginal contact may be looked on as a let (see new Guideline 6 on minimal interference). When player's swing is excessive, then award of stroke to opponent is possible if the player prevents the opponent from reaching the next shot after the contact - in this case, the opponent must appeal at the moment of contact and may not wait until they have seen the player hit a good shot - see Guideline 7.
