| STANLEY ERNEST YOUNG (Tanny) was born at
Tuatapere on 1 October 1918 of parents Ernest
John and Ethel May
(Grey) Young. Tanny was also a very keen sportsman, a
speedy centre 3/4 in the Tuatapere Rugby team and he
participated at athletic meetings in Southland. Tanny lost his life in World War II in the Western Desert on 26 March 1943. |
