| MARILYN ANNE YOUNG was bom on 29 March 1952
(where ?) to parents Mervyn
William and Jean (Hogg)
Young. She attended Orepuki Primary School and Southland
Girls High School. In 1969-70, she spent a year in
Fenton, Michigan, U.S.A., as an A.F.S. student. Following
her return to NZ she went to Otago University and
graduated with a B.A. She was chosen as "Southland
Miss Personality" in 1971. She married Ross McRobie, an accountant, in 1974 and then spent 5 years as a social worker, before the birth of their son James William on 14 March 1980 (where ?). A daughter Emma Jean was bom on 30 July 1983 (where ?). Marilyn and Ross divorced (when ?) and she then married Angus Welsh, an accountant in (when ? where ?) 1989. She is now manager of the Housing Corporation in Invercargill(?). Current address (? Queenstown) |
