LEONIE GAYE YOUNG was bom at Tuatapere on 24
November 1961 to parents William
Stuart and Jennifer
May (Lee) Young. She was educated at Riverton Primary,
District High and Timaru Girls High School, where she
achieved a B. Bursary and was the best all-round fourth
former. She represented the A team at netball,
basketball, softball and athletics. At sporting events she represented South Canterbury at netball, Canterbury at athletics and pentathlon at National Level. Her highlight was representing the NZ mixed over 30's touch rugby team at the world champs in Hawaii in 1995. Leonie works as a Primary School Teacher. She married Derek George Todd (Toddy) on 2 June 1984 in Timaru. Leonie and Derek had two sons - William George (Willy) was bom on 6 June 1987 in Timaru and Simon John was bom on 11 August 1990 in Timaru. Leonie and Derek divorced in (when ?) 2000. Leonie married Nigel Baker on ? where?. The couple are now living at 23 Lowes Road, Rolleston. |
