| ETHEL BETTY YOUNG was bom on 14 October 1930
(where ?) to parents Irven
Hair and Ann Emily
(Lambert) Young. She received her education at Waihoaka
and Southland Girls High Schools. She then worked for 3
years in the Post Office and then with the Department of
Agriculture for 6 years, before moving into the retail
business, in fashion garments. Betty has a lovely singing voice and used to compete with distinction in her younger days. She married James Sandilands, an Agricultural Contractor on 8 March 1960. James died in (when ? where ?) 1987. The couple had two children - Alison Leigh was born on 28 December 1960 (where ?) and Alan James was born on 21 March 1963 (where ?). Current address ? |
