| ALLAN GEORGE YOUNG was bom on 24 June 1918
(where ?) to parents William and Mary
Elizabeth (George) Young. He attended St George Primary
School and Southland Technical College. A shop assistant
for most of his life, he was employed by John Edmond Ltd,
Invercargill, for 21 years. He married Doreen Grace Collinson on (when ?) 1941 (where ?), then joined up and went overseas to see service in the 20th Battalion in Egypt, Syria and Italy. He was a prisoner of war for three years in Italy and Germany. They have one son Murray Allan, who was born on 27 October 1947. Current address ? |
